List every supplied access item
Record the physical keys and any other documented access devices included with the selected vehicle. Do not assume every version uses the same collection of cards, remotes or digital features. Photograph the inventory without exposing sensitive security information publicly. Ask whether anything is lost, damaged or retained elsewhere. The purchase agreement should identify outstanding items and remedies. A key promised after shipment is not equivalent to a tested key delivered with the car unless the separate arrangement is clearly accepted and tracked.
Test physical access independently
Have the inspector test each supplied item according to the applicable manual, with other access devices kept from masking a failure. Confirm ordinary entry, locking and supported starting operation. Record intermittent response or warnings and obtain a qualified diagnosis if needed. Do not accept an attractive case or a phone screenshot as proof of a functioning spare. Security work should follow legitimate ownership verification and supported service procedures. An unofficial immobiliser workaround is not an acceptable substitute for a complete and supportable handover.
Separate pairing from ownership services
Bluetooth audio, local screen functions and remote connected services can have different account requirements. Ask the seller to identify the exact application and functions demonstrated on the car. A working display in China does not establish destination connectivity or account eligibility. Use the assistance-system identity review where features are being grouped under a broad smart-car description. Keep each claimed function separate: fitted hardware, currently enabled software and overseas service support should not be collapsed into one assertion that all systems work everywhere.
Use the supported release process
Where an ownership-linked account exists, ask the authorised current user to follow the service's legitimate release or transfer process. The buyer should create an eligible account through the supported route rather than receive the seller's password, identity credentials or verification codes. If reassignment is unavailable for the destination, document the limitation before purchase. Physical access and ordinary operation must be assessed independently. Do not promise that a future software update will resolve eligibility or connectivity unless there is a specific, reliable commitment applicable to the buyer's situation.
Remove personal data at the right stage
Agree when phone pairings, contacts, destinations and other stored personal information will be cleared. Preserve inspection and service evidence first, and avoid resetting systems blindly when the effect on configuration or handover is uncertain. A qualified provider can advise on the appropriate process. The previous user's private data should not be part of the delivered package. At the same time, deletion should not erase the only available record of a warning or repair before it is documented. Privacy handling and vehicle verification can both be completed deliberately.
Price missing access and support limitations
Ask a legitimate service provider about replacement availability, required ownership documents, vehicle access and programming support at destination. Include lead time, labour and transport in any estimate. A cheap blank key is not a completed replacement. Connect the cost to the Bao 5 export budget. For unavailable online features, decide whether the remaining supported functions meet the buyer's needs. The remedy may be a clear scope limitation or another candidate, not a technical workaround that creates further reliability or security uncertainty.
Close the handover with a practical demonstration
Before loading, reconcile the inventory and demonstrate the supported functions included in the agreement. Repeat physical-access checks at arrival. For example, two tested keys with clearly unavailable regional online services are a different handover from one unreliable key and a borrowed account. Record those distinctions plainly. The final file should state delivered items, tested functions, unresolved services and the agreed response to each exception. This helps the buyer begin ownership without rediscovering limitations that were already visible before the vehicle left its origin market.
Buyer checklist
- Test each supplied key or access device independently.
- Distinguish physical access, pairing and connected accounts.
- Use legitimate transfer and personal-data removal procedures.
- State destination service limits before final acceptance.
Questions and answers
Should the seller share their DiLink account credentials?
No. Use supported release and eligible buyer registration where available. Shared personal credentials are not a proper ownership-transfer method.
Does a China demonstration prove overseas app support?
No. Region, account eligibility, connectivity and service availability must be verified separately for the intended destination.

Use the applicable market and year documentation for equipment and operating limits. The references have their own market and publication scope; they do not establish the condition, fitted equipment or destination approval of an individual vehicle.
